LTER-Europe representatives gather in Vienna for annual conference

The LTER-Europe conference (19-20 February) starts today in Vienna, Austria, hosted by ALTER-Net member Environment Agency Austria. LTER-Europe is a research infrastructure developed and supported by ALTER-Net.

The LTER-Europe meeting is an opportunity for representatives from national Long-Term Ecosystem Research (LTER) networks across Europe to meet and share LTER-related issues and new developments within the field. The strategic development of LTER-Europe will be discussed, as will Long-Term Socio-Ecological Research (LTSER). Delegates will consider new and potential collaborations and the emerging eLTER project, which is due to start this year, and will also hear from three new European members of LTER-Europe: Norway, The Netherlands and Belgium.
