The 12th European Ecological Federation Congress will take place in Avila, Spain,from 25 to 29 September 2011. It is hosted and organized by the Spanish Terrestrial Ecology Society (AEET) in collaboration with the Portuguese Ecological Society SPECO.
The motto of the Congress is 'Responding to Rapid Environmental Change', which highlights the work of the scientific ecological community to unravel the global change crisis and lead its mitigation.

Note: this meeting will include a session co-organised by LTER-Europe and the EnvEurope project. It will also be followed back-to-back with the 9th LTER-Europe conference.
