The 2 day workshop “Soil – An Essential Resource” aims at providing a platform to discuss the challenges, to implement strategies for the sustainable management and protection of soil resources. Major topics to be addressed are erosion, land take, climate change and soil management challenges. These soil threats are recognized and discussed together with new approaches for managing healthy soils, the relevance of infrastructures for soil research, and global and regional soil partnerships concepts.

The workshop enjoys the collaboration of a number of international experts, who have been especially invited for it.

As the number of participants is limited, you are asked to register at www.iesp.de/soil as participation will be on a first come first served basis. There is a small fee to participants, to cover catering and dinner. On the website you will also find the detailed program and further information.
